Firmware upgrade v0.18 build 214043 for Ramos Miumiu W9
Download article as PDF
By Maurice on January 8, 2011 popularity:
My Ramos W9 came with V0.18_20101019.140808 but V0.18.20101201.214043 is available here.
!!! DISCLAIMER !!!

Brick Alert! Firmware upgrades are always dangerous and can render your device useless.

I used the firmware downloaded here.
I used the instructions here

Important notes:
Rename the Chinese characters in the path names of the paths where RKAndroidBatchUpgrade.exe and update.img are located (I read about that tip here)
The ESC button that is mentioned in the instructions is the 'back'-button on the device (the one with the arrow on it, left of the power button)
I installed the driver which is located in the 281xDriver map.
Please be sure the battery of the device (and your laptop) is fully charged
Use the micro-USB cable supplied with the device
After upgrading, your device main language will be Chinese but you can change it to English (if you can find the menu )

Also worth to mention: I used WindowsXP (32-bit) running in Parallels 6.0 on Mac OSX 10.6.something.

I used the same instructions and the new firmware v3.3.5. Edit the setting.ini and change the language to English.
